Ahok: Water Reserves in Jakarta Still Safe

Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama ensures that water reserves in the capital is still safe. As for some areas in West Java currently has experienced water dryness, due to dry season.

Ahok claimed water reserves in Jakarta still depends on headwaters area, such as Bogor. Until this time, Jakarta is still not hit by dryness yet. Even he got a report that headwaters area is predicted will be raining.

"While in Jakarta still depends on headwaters. Today is predicted will be raining. Yesterday in Pondok Indah, i think Jakarta will still be safe," expressed Ahok, at City Hall, Monday (7/27).

Farms in Rorotan Lack of Water Supply

He ensures clean water supply for citizens is also still available. 2 operators of clean water supplier have been instructed to keep giving service for Jakartans. However, citizens are appealed keep saving water use.

Head of Public Relation for PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) Meyritha Maryanie also ensures clean water supply in West Jakarta is safe. Raw water supply is gained from Jatiluhur reservoir and West Flood Canal (KBB).

"It just West and Northwest areas like Cengkareng and around still lack of water supply, as certainly water supply from Tangerang Palyja is still limited," she told.
